Prabhu Deva puts live- in lover before wife

Prabhu Deva, the usually reticent southern dance sensation, has finally made his two- year affair with glam doll Nayanthara public. Soon after, his wife Ramalath, who bore him two children, decided to go a hunger strike.

Of late, Deva and Nayanthara have been often seen together and the “ girlfriend” even has a tattoo etched on her body with her lover’s initials.

All along Ramalath knew about the “ other woman” in her husband’s life but chose to remain silent.

But the other day, Deva dropped a bomb. “ She is special. Yes I am in love with Nayanthara and we will be getting married soon,” he said.

This snapped the patience of Ramalath, who is no stranger to the film industry and going to sit on a fast from Friday, when my husband returns after completing his engagements. I want him back,” she said.

Her voice expressed a steely resolve, but whether she would be able to persuade Deva back into her life is doubtful.

Industry sources said that Deva and Nayanthara have been living together and could get married by this year- end.

“ Nayan is a homebird and very simple. There is no meaning in both of us being busy and having no time for each other. She had a beautiful innings and I know very well that she is a top actress who is much in demand. She has stood by me in my difficult times and her support was like an oasis in the desert,” Deva said.

Well, having made his intentions clear even before getting a divorce, he is now preparing to face the battle at home.
