Something unusual happens at the start of the match today as Mahender Singh Dhoni has won the toss, finally after the ages and elected to field first. Both the teams are trying new things and testing their bench strengths for the upcoming world cup. India has left out Ravindra Jadeja where Australia is not playing Bollinger, Ferguson and Warner and giving chance to debutants Starc and Hastings. Shikhar Dhawan is making his debut from the Indian side.
There is clear blue sky and viewers can expect a full 50 over match. The wicket looks flat and this is the first day-nighter at this venue. It is expected to be high scoring game unless some exceptionally good bowling is done. Dew would some part in the later part of the innings when India is scheduled to bat.
Playing Teams
India: Murali Vijay, Shikhar Dhawan, Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni(w/c), Saurabh Tiwary, Ravichandran Ashwin, Praveen Kumar, Ashish Nehra, Munaf Patel
Australia: Shaun Marsh, Tim Paine(w), Michael Clarke(c), Michael Hussey, Cameron White, Steven Smith, James Hopes, Nathan Hauritz, John Hastings, Mitchell Starc, Clint McKay
Prediction :
Australia is looking favorites and they have got a strong team in comparison to India on papers. The good things about Australians is that they adapt to the situation before the opponent realizes and this is what is making them the winners today as well despite of the inexperienced side.
