The grand wedding of DMK chief M Karunanidhi's grandson and DMK leader and a member of the Union Cabinet Alagiri's son Dayanidhi Alagiri in Madurai today looks even bigger than the royal wedding of Prince William's wedding to Kate Middleton.
Some of the biggest names of the nation were present at the wedding, some of them were Congress leader Pranab Mukherjee, Home Minister P Chidambaram and actor Rajinikanth. The pre-wedding reception took place yesterday at Tamukkan Grounds in Madurai was equally grand studded with VVIPs of the country.
People in Madurai have been eagerly waiting for the dream wedding of bridegroom Dayanidhi Alagiri and bride Anusha who is the daughter of an Advocate in Chennai as the occasion was graced by the prominent personalities.
Home Minister P Chidambaram along with Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee blessed the couple where as superstar Rajinikanth is hos own style said, “Karunanidhi has two assets – the DMK; and Stalin and Alagiri. Both should protect each other.”
