DMK chief M Karunanidhi's grandson & DMK leader Alagiri and a member of the Union Cabinet son lavish amrriage to take place in Madurai today where there would be literally every VVIP would ensure their presence. The temple city of Madurai is geared up for the grand event as before the marriage where all the prominent leaders & politicians made the appearance including the most talked about Telecom Raja. who is mired in the 2G scam.
Some of the guests who were seen at the reception were Maran brothers, Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel, Chief Selector of the Board of Control for Cricket Kris Srikanth, Congress Spokesperson Jayanthi Natarajan and also A Raja who were seen having a good time.
Praful Patel said, 'I came to wish the young couple on behalf of my party and leader Sharad Pawar' where Jayanthi Natarajan added, 'I came purely as a personal friend. We have tremendous respect for the Chief Minister and Mr Alagiri'.
Reports are that Alagiri has also invited Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi however they are unlikely to attend. Some of the mosts expected guests for today's wedding are Union Ministers Praful Patel, P Chidambaram, G K Vasan, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Dayanidhi Maran & Karnataka CM Yeddyurappa.
