A major fire broke out today afternoon in Dheeraj Arma Towers in Bandra which also happens to be main corporate office of HDIL where around 600 employees of the company work.25 Fire brigades reached the spot with in no time to control the fire, however it could not be controlled and spread between 9th and 12th Floor of the tower where the 9th floor was found to be completely burnt.
Uday Tatkare, Chief Fire Officer of Mumbai, said, "We are trying to contain the fire from spreading. Some of the glass sheets (lining the building's exterior) have collapsed,"
Luckily there has been no causalities reported and the entire building has been evacuated, however the the cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.
