The first phase counting of Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) Election 2010 are on and there is no clear picture on the winner of these results. As per the latest news, poll turn out was around 46% and out of 107 seats, Congress has won on 14 seats where as arch rivals Shiv Sena & MNS are going neck to neck with 12 & 11 seats respectively.
As per the sources, 4 leaders Ram Kadam; MNS MLA from Ghatkopar; Ramesh Walanj; MNS leader from Pune; Eknath Shinde Shiv Sena leader and Sanjeev Naik, MP, NCP were found to be present in Kalyan Dombivli, after which police immediately issued notices to them asking them to leave the city.
BJP has 4 seats, NCP bagged 1 where as independent candidates have 4 seats so far. Counting is still going on and updated results would be out shortly. More than Shiv Sena or MNS, Congress has been the surprising element so far as the recent Adarsh Society scam have been the talk to town and the current CM with all the previous chief ministers could not stop their names to be involved in the scam.
