Now Aamir Khan to host a TV show

After much coaxing and convincing, Aamir Khan has agreed to host a reality show on TV, which now becomes a hot bed of competition for all A list Bollywood actors like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan.

When stars descended on the small screen as hosts, viewers were delighted. After all, the list included names like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra and Shilpa Shetty, etc. But one star was conspicuous by his absence.

And that was none other than the demi- god of Indian cinema, Aamir Khan. But it seems the tides have turned and now Aamir too is all set to debut on the small screen.

Aamir has recently signed on the dotted line to host a reality show for a leading channel. The show is titled ‘ Signal Pe Khel’ and it promises to be as unique and innovative as its host. For the first time on Indian television there will be an interactive show based on traffic rules.

“ Aamir will host ‘Signal Pe Khel’, which is formatted like a quiz competition but the catch is that all the questions will be based on traffic rules,” confirms a source.

However, the most surprising bit of information that the source revealed was that Aamir was in fact not the first choice of the channel.

“ The show was at first offered to Ajay Devgn, but he did not show any interest so it went to Aamir. It so happened that when the script was narrated to Aamir he found it very intriguing and he showed a keen interest to host it,” adds the source.

But it will be some time before the star’s fans will be able to see him on TV as at present the set designing is in progress. The show will be directed by Inder Labana.

The aim of the show is to make people more aware of traffic rules and to instil traffic sense in them. What’s more, the person who knows the rules will walk away with the prize money. Aamir who is known for making films with strong social messages couldn’t have stayed away from the show which too is based on a similar cause.

However, Aamir is yet to comment about his entry into television.
