Pamela Anderson entered the Bigg Boss house on Tuesday night looking aged and haggard. A slinky, strappy blouse and a very Bollywoodish white chiffon sari were very much in place, but the 43- year- old couldn’t quite turn on the heat as she did a decade ago with her trademark red swimsuit on Baywatch. Pamela appears on Bigg Boss season 4 for just three episodes.
She is a sort of ‘ item number’ on the show, which seems desperate right now to beat the TRPs of rival reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati 4. After all, the Amitabh Bachchcan- helmed KBC , aired in the same primetime slot on a rival channel, has been enjoying TRPs close to 4.7 while Bigg Boss 4 ratings have failed to cross 3.7 so far.
Pamela was reportedly paid close to Rs. 9 crore for the three days she will be seen in the Bigg Boss house. However, for all the hype generated on her arrival, her participation seems like a clear case Hollywood dumping a ‘ has- been’ celeb on Indian audiences.
On Tuesday’s episode, Pamela didn’t look like she is interested in creating any fireworks that can top what Dolly Bindra has already created on the show. She went about grinning self- consciously and striking namaste poses as she was introduced to the housemates. And she tried picking up some basic tips on spoken Hindi.
However, fans of the show expecting a bikini sizzle from Pamela will be disappointed. Among preconditions she has reportedly laid down is one stating that she won’t wear a bikini on Bigg Boss 4. Instead, she wants to present an ethnic image. So, she entered the house wearing a chiffon sari with baadla work, designed by Ashley Rebello.
On Tuesday’s episode, Pamela could not do much to hide her wrinkles, which showed more prominently once she removed her make-up after settling down in the house.

How about talking derogatorily about the disgusting and lecherous way Ashmit begins to act after she enters the show, slapping hi-fives with Rishant like a sick sex-starved roadside GHATTI. How about talking about THAT instead of making a big deal about Pamela's wrinkles and age, I mean come on - you're going to hit 43 one day too and I'd like to see how unwrinkled and accomplished YOU are. Let's talk about real issues here ok? Like how sick it is to be promoting lecherous wolf-whistling behaviour by Indian men. No wonder women don't have any respect in India, because being women we don't speak about issues like how a man should act around a woman, oh no - instead we speak about how "old and haggard" a woman looks. Wake up guys.
The title and premise of your article is not only falsely presumptive, it betrays a mean spirit. Why would you assume that Ms. Anderson is trying to hide her age? She is a highly well known global public figure and mother of two. She has previously participated in a Big Brother show in Australia and knows she is coming to India to live under 30 cameras for 3 days. OF COURSE she wants to wear Indian clothes and learn Indian languages and eat Indian food. If she didn't, the media would fillet her. I agree with the first commentator regarding the hyperbolic uncool reaction of the younger male housemates who clearly objectify Ms. Anderson. I see from the name, the author of this article is female. I am disappointed in her editorial choices.
Every one will age one day, so whats the big deal. Pamela Anderson is an icon in her own right & we welcome her in India.
