The broad package remains the same, of course. Beyond the core idea, this is a very YRF film loaded with the naach- gaana formula. So, you are looking at a couple of leads who not only plan weddings in sadda Dilli — they also get to sing and dance for free, or else how would the film gets its requisite quota of songs.
The two leads are Bittoo and Shruti, played by newcomer Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma. Since opposites attract in our movies, Shruti is the assured one and Bittoo is the happy- go- lucky confused soul. They hit upon the idea of planning weddings for some good cash. The ground rule, to begin with, is clear: they will not to mix business with pleasure.
In other words, the relationship is strictly professional. Come on, this is a YRF film right? Hero and heroine can’t just be strictly professional about their vibes all through the runtime. So the film essentially sets out to narrate how Shruti discovers love in Bittoo. No surprises, no twists.
Anushka and debutant Ranveer are fairly adequate in their roles. Overall, the film has a certain cuteness that went lacking from YRF films of late.
Rating - 2.5 / 5
