Raja foolproof against arrest for a fortnight

Former telecom minister A Raja has foolproofed himself against arrest in the 2G spectrum scam at least for a fortnight. He has secured the Central Bureau of Investigation's consent to give him a break of 15 days from Delhi to undergo a Thyroid surgery and medical treatment in Chennai.

He will be entering a private hospital in Chennai on January 4 to undergo the surgery, sources close to him said. They said that he has given in writing to the CBI that he would be available for any further questioning in the hospital, provided the doctors permit.

Raja was interrogated for over 15 hours for two days on last Friday and Saturday and allowed to leave for Chennai on Tuesday. His hospitalisation will protect him from the arrest for a while. The CBI is now preparing to start making arrests in the 2G scam to show result of its investigations being monitored by the Supreme Court.

It has to file the probe outcome before the Supreme Court by February 11 when the PIL on alleged tardy progress of investigations comes up again for hearing.

Geez!!!! Corruption everywhere!!!!! It takes a site like Wikileaks or a grassroots movie like "Stock Shock-The Short Selling of the American Dream" (which saved me a bunch of money) to identify and punish the people taking advantage of U.S. citizens. I recommend we all watch and learn. The DVD is at www.stockshockmovie.com site if you want to save a buck. Let's take the power back.
